Painting Parties are fun at Inspiration Studios.  While teaching others to create their version of a field of poppies, I created this piece.  It was fun.  I'm learning how my communication style can impact what others create.  This may be a life lesson, applicable to other aspects of my interactions with others.  In this case, the results of the painting party (paint n sip) were quite spectacular and so much fun!  View them at inspirationstudiosgallery.com.  -Erico

I'm trying to find solace in the weather, although it's sometimes too stiffling and oppressive for my liking.  Hopefully I can channel my energies and continue to create art.  -Erico

Martini Girls Exhibit:  I Forgot My Glasses...

"Warrior Princess" (acrylics, 30x30")

... is the title of the exhibit that opens August 28 at Art*Bar in Milwaukee's Riverwest.  I was asked to create a piece for that exhibit.  This painting is based on some combination of Picasso-style works.  I was very grateful to be asked to participate....and, surprisingly enough, the judges awarded this piece with an HONORABLE MENTION ribbon!  I paint as a means to release some creativity and because I enjoy the challenge of creating something from nothing.  Being recognized for this effort is a great supplement to the process.    -Erico
