 Cubist Faces...

Cubist Faces (alcohol ink on paper, 8x10")

These faces are fascinating to me.  I'm exploring the look, the features, the angles.  It's a good experiment in form and structure.  And they look so good once they are framed, especially in white frames with white matting.  Perhaps I will feel more comfortable drawing faces in the future. -Erico

 Facials...

"Reflective Eye" (watercolor & ink, 8x8")

Faces have always been a challenge for me.  I'm playing; I'm learning.  Focusing on one or two features seems to be the trick for me.  I'm enjoying these simple palettes, rather monochromatic ones.  This was fun; tricky, but fun.  It will be on display at the Being Transparent exhibit of the Rogues Artists Group in January/February at Inspiration Studios.  -Erico

 It's a new year....

"Tearful Reflection" (mixed media on wood panel canvas, 20x20")

The new year always creates a sense of nostalgia for me.  It's always a bit intimidating, but also inspiring.   Hopeful that 2025 is filled with joy and health!
